Our colleague Tom Clegg recently officially became an Emeritus Professor.

To celebrate his career and impact on physics, we are organizing a one day symposium in Chapel Hill on Saturday, April 8.

We hope you’ll be able to join us for what should be an enjoyable day as we celebrate Tom’s scientific achievements and learn how his work has influenced or evolved into a variety of current scientific endeavors. As we are still finalizing the program and a few of the local arrangements, we will be sending out a follow-up announcement with these details.

Please take a moment to let us know if you’ll be able to attend the symposium by registering at the link on the left of this web page.

We hope to see you in Chapel Hill for what will be a very enjoyable celebration.
