Venue & Parking
The meeting will be held in Sitterson Hall, Room 011, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Chapel Hill Transit
Chapel Hill provides free transit. No ID or commuter card is necessary. Since parking on campus is scarce, we recommend taking public transit to campus. Routes and schedules can be found here. For those staying at the recommended hotels, we have provided the bus/walking routes between the hotels and UNC below.
Hampton Inn & Suites Chapel Hill/Carrboro:
There is a bus stop just outside of the hotel on Main St. The J Route or CW Route buses will be your most regular options towards campus. The J bus will arrive starting around 6:28am and arrives about every 15 minutes in the morning. The CW bus will arrive starting around 7:35am and arrives about every 30 minutes in the morning. You will want to get off at the South Columbia/Abernathy Hall stop next to campus.
Carolina Inn is just across the street from Sitterson Hall. Walking directions are provided here.
Park & Ride Options from Carrboro:
If you are staying near Carrboro, public parking is free in Carrboro. Therefore if a bus stop is not easily accessible from your hotel, you can park at the public parking lot neighboring the Hampton Inn & Suites Chapel Hill/Carrboro, and take the J Route or CW Route buses towards campus, as mentioned above.
Chapel Hill/UNC Parking
Parking in Chapel Hill and at UNC is limited, therefore we recommend using public transportation to arrive on-campus if possible.
Parking in Chapel Hill is primarily paid parking between the hours of 8am-5pm. Parking lot and street parking are typically free in the evening. For the conference, the closest Chapel Hill parking is available at the Rosemary/Columbia Lot, the Wallace Parking Deck, and the CVS Plaza Parking Deck. The lot is $1.50/hr, while the two parking decks are $1/hr (though CVS adds $2 to your final parking total if you park the entire time between 10am-2pm).
